BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE BOOKS

1- What is Islam

What is Islam? This book presents gist of all the basic teachings of Islam, as contained in the Holy Qur’an and traditions of Prophet Muhammad (may God’s peace be upon him), about every important activity of human life starting from daily life of a Muslim to socio-economic and political life of the Muslim community. The book is a study of Islamic taxes like Zakat, Ushr, Jizyah, Khums, Kharaj, etc.  alongwith modern taxes such as incometax, wealth tax, customs, excise, sales tax, estate duty and property tax. The role of tax administrator has been discussed in the light of the teachings of Islam and questions like “Can an Islamic state levy taxes on Muslims in addition to Zakat?” and Can a state exist without taxes?” have also been debated. 24-March Towards the Doomsday

The book has been written keeping in view the crisis brought about in the world by great event of September 11, 2001 popularly called "9/11".
